A major storm that swept through the St. Louis area still has 100,000 electricity customers in the dark today. AmerenUE says crews have already restored power to 75,000 and they have no idea how long it will take to get the remainder of their customers back on-line. Mike Cleary, spokesman for the company, says hundreds of technicians from around the state are working on the problem. The outages are worst in the immediate St. Louis area but also include surrounding counties and customers in East St. Louis.
