Eric Milton is one of the better pitchers no one knows about. The Royals are now familiar. Milton pitched seven innings, allowing just 2 runs to lead Minnesota over Kansas City 6-2. Milton shut out the Royals on one hit until Mike Sweeney hit his 20th homer in the 6th. Sweeney drove in the Royals other run with an RBI groundout. Bob Wells pitched the final two innings for the save. Mark Quinn had two hits for the Royals. Jeff Suppan allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 7 innings to fall to 6-7. Brian Meadows will make his second start for the Royals tonight in Minnesota.
