Gore/Lieberman to take riverboat

August 16, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Once the Democratic National Convention wraps up Thursday in Los Angeles, Vice President Al Gore and running mate Joe Lieberman will be heading almost immediately to the Midwest. The two will be heading to La Cross, Wisconsin on Friday morning for a cruise down the Mississippi River to Hannibal aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat. The riverboat is owned by Sandy Terry and her husband, Steve, who admit the presidential contenders may be the biggest VIP’s they’ve ever served. Gore, Lieberman, and their entourage are expected to arrive in Hannibal on Monday.
