August 16, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Kansas City swimmer Catherine Fox has her final chance to return to the Olympics tonight in the 50 meter freestyle at the U.S. trials. Fox is not considered a favorite in this event. She won two gold medals in 1996.15-year old Amanda Stroud of Blue Springs has earned a trip to the U.S. gymnastics trials in Boston. Stroud had to perform for a panel of five judges, including Bela Karolyi, to gain entrance into the trials. She missed the U.S. nationals in St. Louis because of injury. The trials start Friday.
