DEM 2000: Carnahan hopeful

August 16, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Carnahan looks to the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles to give Vice President Al Gore a boost in the polls, including polls taken in Missouri. Carnahan professes to be unconcerned about how the top of the ticket is running back home and he expects public opinion to tighten in Missouri after democrats finish their convention. That’s when Carnahan plans on calling for help from the Gore/Lieberman ticket as well as President Clinton in his Senate campaign.
