Kansas City should know today or tomorrow what caused Monday’s water main break. It left a large part of Kansas City without water and put 150,000 people under a boil water advisory. City officials want to know the cause, how much water was lost, and what it cost the city. Director of the city’s water services department, Gurnie Gunter, says local engineering firm Black & Veatch is looking at several sections of pipe to figure out the cause.
