Following the hanging death of an inmate at the Christian County Jail in Ozark, the American Civil Liberties Union says the jail has made strides to overcome poor inmate conditions. But ACLU Executive Director Dick Kurtenbach says things are still far from perfect. Kurtenbach thinks a new jail needs to be built and opened as quickly as possible. The ACLU filed a lawsuit after another inmate hanged himself last October. Jeremy Lindsey of Springfield hanged himself with a telephone cord on Saturday.
