Some Missouri delegates at the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles admit they hate to see President Clinton go and worry whether Vice President Al Gore can bring the party the same success. But Hannibal delegate Lee Viorel doesn’t believe there’s that much difference between the two men. Other delegates express less certainty. They admit they felt assured of victory four years ago when they met in Chicago and they admit they don’t feel so confident this year.
