Rams, Titans Meet Again

August 14, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The Rams will face familiar foes on a national stage in their second preseason game tonight. The Rams face the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, in a game that will give a national television audience its second dose of Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football. In addition to meeting in last year’s Super Bowl, the Rams and Titans scrimmaged one another a few weeks ago in Macomb, Illinois. Adding to the intensity, some members of the Ram organization were upset when Ram rookie Trung Canidate suffered an ankle injury on a hit by a Titan player. Both the Rams and the Titans plan to play their starters for the entire first half of tonight’s game, with two notable exceptions. Rams coach Mike Martz says quarterback Kurt Warner and running back Marshall Faulk will play only the first quarter. Trent Green will take over for Warner, and Derek Loville will spell Faulk in the second quarter. Third-stringer Joe Germaine will play quarterback in the second half.
