The Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Company has instituted a three phase program for the voluntary recall of some of its radial tires suspected of being faulty. Company spokesman Walt Sharp says Missouri doesn’t make it to Phase One, which takes in Arizona, California, Florida, and Texas. Phase Two has seven states but Missouri is part of Phase Three. Sharp says we’re in the third phase because there have been very few problems reported from this state.
