United hampered in MO

August 11, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Because of ongoing labor problems, United Airlines is canceling hundreds of flights a day out of airports like St. Louis and Kansas City. United only flies a dozen or so daily flights to those two cities. But even those are affected. United Spokesman Joe Hopkins says in St. Louis Wednesday only nine of ten planes arrived. Yesterday in Kansas City, United’s best-case scenario was to hit 87% of their flights. And there could be even more problems this weekend. United is on the spot to deliver delegates to the democratic convention in Los Angeles on time.
