Kansas City’s Catherine Fox, who won two gold medals in the 1996 Olympics, had a very poor showing in the 100 meter backstroke at the U.S. Olympic trials. Fox finished 20th and failed to advance out of the preliminaries. She will compete in the 100 meter freestyle on Sunday.
