The elections board in Clay County has a real mess to sort out when it meets today. County Commissioner Jay Lawson is threatening legal action if the county doesn’t hold a new primary for his office. The county ran out of republican ballots in several polling places and Lawson wonders if the screw-up cost him the election. He lost by just 35 votes. And there are new reports that polling places were also running out of democratic ballots.
