A national study of American high school students shows they are the first generation in an interconnected, international society, which leads them to an anticipation of prosperity and makes them more open and accepting of all people. The study has been done by the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. The interpreter of the survey results for the association is the superintendent of the North Kansas City School District, Vicki Baker. She says the findings show today’s high school students are optimistic about their futures, they are not leaving their futures to chance.
