The Rams offense started the preseason right where they left off last year. The Rams rolled over Oakland Saturday 31-17. Quarterback Kurt Warner played the first series, and completed 4 of 5 passes, including a 26-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Bruce. Trent Warner returned to live action for the first time since his knee injury last year. He was 5 of 7 for 61 yards and two touchdowns. St. Louis’ offensive starters played just one series, except for the offensive line, which stayed in most of the first half to protect Green.The Rams suffered only one injury of note in their first pre-season game. Backup fullback James Hodgins strained a rotator cuff, and may miss a week of practice.
