Damon Leads Royals Past Sox

A two-run rally in the 8th inning lifted the Royals over Boston 3-1. Johnny Damon continued his torrid pace at the plate. He was three for four, raising his average to .322. He singled and came into score on an error in the 1st inning. In the 8th, Damon’s bunt single sparked a two-run inning. Rey Sanchez and Jermaine Dye drove in the runs. Dan Reichert scattered 7 hits over 8 innings, allowing just one run for the win. He’s 5-6. Ricky Bottalico picked up his 11th save. The Royals return home to host Toronto for four games, starting tonight. Blake Stein will start against Esteban Loaiza.
