An anonymous tip concerning the disposal of hazardous wastes has led to an on-site investigation by the Department of Natural Resources at the College of the Ozarks. DNR spokesman Mark Rayder says the probe turned up several violations, including solid waste dump sites. The DNR is concerned that some of the contamination may have leaked into Lake Taneycomo.
