Governor Bush took it straight to Missouri delegates and the rest of the republican national convention during his Thursday acceptance speech. He fired away on the military, minorities, and personal responsibility. He also addressed abortion and promised to sign a law prohibiting partial-birth abortions. Delegates called Bush “straightforward” and “plain-spoken” and say they not only liked his policy points, but how he seems to connect with people.
