GOP 2000: Bond casts Missouri Bush votes

August 4, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Senator Kit Bond gave a quick and rousing speech as he cast Missouri’s republican votes for Governor Bush. As he announced Missouri’s votes…Bond quoted the late Senator Vandiver’s famous words that you have to “show me” to impress me. And he says Bush has shown the country he’s a man of action. Afterwards…Bond said it would be up to the convention delegates to go back to their hometowns and win Missouri for Bush. Missouri delegates threw their support behind George W. Bush shortly before the Texas governor addressed the convention.
