The two Democrats gunning for the party’s nomination for Lieutenant Governor are going at it again over campaign financing. Gracia Backer has accused Joe Maxwell of engaging in financing irregularities. Now, Maxwell claims Backer has illegally accepted a contribution in the form of a 50-thousand dollar check signed by her husband. Not true, says Backer, who insists the money came from a joint account she shares with her husband.
