Jury pops Wonder Bread for millions

August 3, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

21 Wonder Bread workers who have won $120 million dollars in punitive damages from Interstate Bakeries of Kansas City, the company that owns Wonder Bread. A jury says those 21 black employees suffered racial slurs and other indignities. 11-year employee Mose Jackson says he trained a lot of white employees who quickly got promotions while he did not. Interstate Bakeries will ask that the damage award be reduced because some complaints go back to days when others owned parts of the company.
