The Brady Law, which mandates a waiting period for gun purchases, has been in effect since 1994 and a new study finds it has had little impact on lowering murder rates nationwide. Mary Still of the state Attorney General’s Office says the Brady Law may or may not be much of a help … but violent crime in Missouri IS down. Still says anything that can help to keep handguns out of the hands of criminals must be viewed as a positive thing.
