With air conditioners running full blast this summer, few Missourians are thinking about their heating bills this winter. But Public Service Commission spokesman Kevin Kelly says recent action by natural gas companies indicate those bills will be higher. All the major natural gas suppliers in Missouri have asked the PSC to approve unscheduled summer natural gas increases–an unprecedented move. Kelly says they were granted the increases, because the wholesale cost of natural gas has nearly doubled from last year.
