GOP 2000: Political pups

August 2, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

A couple of 20-somethings are among Missouri’s delegation to the Republican convention. Joe Pondrom is a 22-year-old alternate delegate. He has already been active in scores of political campaigns but has no plans to run for office himself. Pondrom says he just enjoys working on other’s campaigns. Another alternate delegate, Steve Majors, 20, is still in school at Truman State University. He says people his age aren’t as active in politics as they should be but says parents should bear part of the responsibility for not talking to their kids about politics.
