Carnahan ignores convention

Many Missourians are paying a lot of attention to the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia. But one Missourian who isn’t tuning in is Governor Mel Carnahan. He says he’s only watched a little bit of the Republican event. As for concerns that Republicans are doing well in the polls — both nationally and in Missouri — Carnahan says a bounce is to be expected at convention time. Carnahan says Democrats should do better once the campaign season begins and people start focusing on issues.
