Armadillos are spreading from south Missouri into parts of central Missouri. They’ve been spotted all over mid-Missouri this summer. Cole County conservation agent Pat Masek says this is the furthest north the funny animals have ever come in Missouri. However, Masek says armadillos prefer warmer climates and will probably retreat to southwest Missouri before things get much colder.
