Before the republican convention gets into high gear later today, democrats are piping-up about who they’d like to see on their ticket. Kansas City-area Congresswoman Karen McCarthy suggests former Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin would be a great choice. She says having Rubin on the ticket would be a good signal to the voters that Gore wants to continue the strong economy. McCarthy isn’t sure if Rubin would return to politics after retiring to private life.
