GOP 2000: MO delegates win honor

July 31, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri delegates to the republican convention get to participate in history this week. State republican party chair Ann Wagner found out today Missouri wouldn’t be casting its presidential ballot in the usual, alphabetical order. The delegation will “pass” on its Tuesday vote and instead announce its support on Thursday. The high visibility vote means Missouri will be one of nine states to put the Bush-Cheney ticket “over the top.” Senator Kit Bond will do the honors.
