Chiefs president Carl Peterson says he’s not concerned about getting his number one draft pick, wide receiver Sylvester Morris, into camp soon. That may strike some fans as odd, considering the Chiefs’ apparent need for receiver help. Morris’ agent was in camp this week, and says the two sides made progress. Chiefs coach Gunther Cunningham says he’ll have a tough call at running back, but he’d like to have one full-time starter. Rookie Frank Moreau has look good, and Kimble Anders is bouncing back quite well from a ruptured achilles tendon. Mike Cloud is very much in the mix as well. Cunningham says if no back separates himself from the pack, he’ll stick with a committee at running back. The Chiefs will work out twice Friday and Saturday, and then take Sunday off. They will have two workouts with the Minnesota Vikings Monday, but the teams will not scrimmage.
