About 20 flatlanders from Missouri are headed to the Rocky Mountains of Montana to fight a high-altitude forest fire. One of the crew bosses is David Massengale of Salem. He says the Missourians will have to adjust to the altitude. Massengale works with the forest service. Other Missourians who are part of the crews expecting to arrive in Montana tonight are with the conservation department, the Boone County Volunteer Fire Department, and the Americorps in St. Louis.
