Jermaine Dye launched two home runs and Jeff Suppan threw seven, three-hit innings to lead the Royals past the White Sox 6-1. The Sox had taken a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but Dye hit two-run homers in the 4th and the 6th, and the Royals added a pair of insurance runs in the 8th. Dye has 25 homers and 76 RBI’s. Suppan walked six, but allowed just one run to improve to 5-6 as he won his third straight, and snapped the Royals’ three game losing streak. Ricky Bottalico finished up with two scoreless innings. The Royals finish their series in Chicago with an afternoon game. Dan Reichert, 4-6, will start against James Baldwin, who is 12-4.
