It’s a Goode law

Complaints of campaign contribution violations have reached the ears of theman who helped write the law. Senator Wayne Goode says the kind of partydonations roiling the lieutenant governor’s could have been lower. But hesays republicans wanted parties to be able to make larger donations thanindividuals. He says the law was written precisely to allow the kinds ofparty donations Rep. Gracia Backer is up-in-arms about in the democraticprimary against Senator Joe Maxwell. She’s upset that her opponent isdirecting larger contributions through political committees.
