Infant murder languishes

July 22, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri State Highway Patrol expects to start in on the investigation of a crushed Taney County baby soon. But Sgt. Terry Moore says he wasn’t called until recently for his help in the death of Trey Svoboda. The 8-week-old infant died in January. His ribs had been broken in 36 places. The prosecutor in the case hasn’t filed charges in the killing, hasn’t asked for help from the Missouri Attorney General’s office, and didn’t ask for the Highway Patrol’s assistance until 6 months after the death occurred.
