Missouri budget breaks records

The State Budget Director says record state revenue collections indicate a strong state economy. Individual income-tax collections hit an all-time high of 4.3 billion during the fiscal year, according to State Budget Director Mark Ward. He points out the state doesn’t benefit from the strong economy, because tax cuts approved by the state legislature will refund millions of dollars and bring collections in line with the previous year.
