Damon Hits Again; Royals Win

Johnny Damon had four more hits for the Royals, setting the pace for a 10-6 trouncing of Cleveland. The Royals have won three straight, and Damon has 12 hits in those three wins. The Royals banged out 17 hits, including three each by Rey Sanchez, Mark Quinn, and Carlos Febles. Jeff Suppan allowed four runs in 7 and 1/3 innings for the win. Manny Ramirez hit two home runs off Suppan for Cleveland. The Royals have won three in a row. They trail the third-place Tigers by a half game, heading into a three game series in Detroit. Dan Reichert pitches tonight against Jeff Weaver.
