Carter Contemplates Holdout

July 20, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Kevin Carter says he may hold out from Rams training camp. Carter, who led the NFL in sacks last year, wants a new contract. He has one year remaining, and is scheduled to make 1.1 million dollars, well below market value. Camp opens tomorrow in Macomb, Illinois.Quarterback Kurt Warner and defensive back Todd Lyght will probably miss the start of camp. Both players are without contracts, and are therefore not permitted to practice. The Rams also need to sign their number one and number three draft picks.
