Bryant May Ask NCAA for Waiver

July 19, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Mizzou basketball recruit Travon Bryant is considering an appeal to the NCAA if he doesn’t get a qualifying test score. Bryant is still waiting to see if he scored high enough on the ACT to be eligible to play as a freshman at Mizzou. If his score doesn’t qualify, Bryant could apply for a freshman eligibility waiver like the one granted recently to Michigan State recruit Zach Randolph. A committee would take extenuating circumstances into account. Bryant says he suffers from test anxiety. He carried a 2.8 grade point average in high school, but hasn’t been able to garner a qualifying score yet on the SAT or ACT.
