Hulshof pushes GOP pill plan

July 15, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a prescription drug bill and the Senate is expected to follow suit. Missouri Congressman Kenny Hulshof concedes President Clinton will likely follow through on a promise to veto it, but he says it’s good legislation just the same. Hulshof says the republican plan is completely voluntary and universal, but unlike the President’s preferred method, doesn’t amount to a government takeover of the prescription drug industry.
