Bill targets uninsured

July 14, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Uninsured motorists, watch out! A crackdown on uninsured drivers has been signed into law. State Representative Jim Kreider of Nixa is glad to see a bill become law that funds a statewide database to identify uninsured motorists. The legislature created the database last year, but didn’t fund it. This year it approved the bill to shift 6% of the current insurance premium tax to pay for operating the database.
