Inmates beat the odds

Two dozen inmates at the state penitentiary say their lives have been turned around by a high-intensity program some of them helped organize. The inmates are the latest graduates from the Intensive Therapeutic Community program, which works to break addictions to drugs and alcohol. Corrections Director Dora Schriro said at graduation ceremonies inside the prison, that it changes the way people think about themselves and their world. The 24 inmates graduated from ITC yesterday.
