Governor George W. Bush is surging ahead in the Presidential race in Missouri. The latest poll from the Kansas City Star shows Bush up to an 11 point lead in the state. Bush and Vice President Al Gore were separated by just 2 points in a February poll. The latest survey of more than 600 voters shows Bush ahead in all areas of Missouri, including Kansas City and St. Louis. Missouri has long been considered a bellwether state, having picked every presidential but one in the 20th century–Dwight Eisenhower in 1956.
