June was a healing month for a lot of dry areas in Missouri. Pat Guinan with the University of Missouri says it was the wettest month in Missouri in the last two years. The state average was a little over seven inches of rain. Guinan says it was exactly what the state needed to make a dent in the ongoing drought. Sections of northwestern Missouri and south-central Missouri still need more rain.
