Cities issue heat advisories

July 7, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The heat turned a corner on Thursday. Kansas City’s health department issued a heat advisory Thursday morning when the temperature at Kansas City International Airport reached 91 degrees. St. Louis also issued a heat advisory. Health officials say they’ll keep the advisory in place until there’s a break in the weather at least 48-hours long. If things get worse, they’ll issue a heat warning, and then a heat emergency.
