Abortion opponents encouraged

July 4, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The sponsor of Missouri’s partial birth abortion law is confident the law will stand, despite the recent Supreme Court ruling that threw out a partial birth abortion bill in Nebraska. Representative Bill Luetkenhaus of Josephville thinks there are enough differences in the Missouri law to get past the court. He even claims the ruling is encouraging. The High Court voted 5-4. Luetkenhaus is counting on Justice Sandra Day O’Connor being the swing vote that will uphold Missouri’s partial birth law.
