Agents from the state fire marshal’s office are spending about half their time these days checking fireworks stands. Fire Marshal Bill Farr says the inspections have been going on since the opening of fireworks sales season June 20th. Farr says they haven’t had any complaints up to now. He says inspectors make sure sales areas are safe, and that the fireworks being sold are legal.Missouri licensed about 14-hundred fireworks stands this year.
