Jay Witasick threw his second straight complete game for the Royals, but this time, got a win to show for it. Witasick held Cleveland to four hits as the Royals beat the Indians 8-1. Witasick carried a shutout into the ninth inning before allowing a run. He threw 120 pitches. Witasick went the distance his last time out, but lost to Anaheim 4-3. Jermaine Dye hit his 20th homer, and Joe Randa drove in three runs for the Royals. Kansas City won for just the fourth time in their last 14 games. They host the Indians again tonight.
