Ruling clouds Missouri law

June 29, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Nebraska’s law dealing with so-called partial birth abortions may have been struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court, but that ruling should not have any direct impact on Missouri’s similar law. That’s the view of Lou DeFeo of the Missouri Catholic Conference. He says the two laws are quite different. DeFeo says the Missouri law doesn’t look at the partial birth argument as an abortion issue, but one of “infanticide,” or the killing of a child.
