Road projects picked

June 29, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

58 new projects slated for road work in the next year in Missouri. The Highways and Transportation Commission has picked the first projects to receive $250 million dollars in bonds approved by the legislature. State officials picked road projects that were already planned and just missing the funding and tried to spread out the goodies evenly. MODOT says some of the work could begin next month. By far, the largest project planned is the I-435/I-470 interchange in Kansas City at $40 million dollars. Another $2 billion dollars in bonds planned over the next several years. To see whether your community is included in the list of projects, go to the MODOT website for the subject. It’s located at http://www.modot.state.mo.us/info/bond_info.htm.
