Federal authorities who want drug property seized during joint raids with Kansas City police will have to get a judge’s approval. The city police board has finalized a deal under pressure from the state attorney general’s office. The group accumulated $3.5 million dollars that police should have passed on to Kansas City schools. The board’s policy also makes it easier for suspects to recover property if they think it was taken improperly.
