Sprint responds to MCI flap

June 27, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Officials of Sprint in Kansas City say they are disappointed by the Justice Department move to file an anti-trust lawsuit to block the company’s merger with MCI WorldCom. Sprint spokeswoman, Laura Meyer, says executives with the phone company plan to take time and assess the situation. Meyer says the company believes consumers will benefit from the merger and thought it had presented a good enough case to the Justice Department to ward off any anti-trust lawsuit.
